TESTIMONIALS
Matt started working with my daughter when she was in Year 10. She had always been in the top sets and her grades were slipping in Science. The weekly tutoring continued throughout Years 10 and 11 (through the pandemic) and they worked very effectively together. Matt was able to easily identify what she was struggling with and he provided tasks which were appropriate to her ability and learning style. She grew in confidence, knowing she had time with Matt to work through any topics she had not fully understood in school. In Year 11, she was predicted three Grade 7s in her Triple Science GCSEs and this is what she achieved!

My daughter was concerned about her Chemistry GCSE and we were so fortunate to find Matthew. He was professional, kind, flexible and a huge help to my daughter. She really connected with him. Matthew was very thorough, explaining concepts in detail and in a way she could understand. In the end he not only helped her with Chemistry, but Physics and Biology too! I can’t recommend him enough.

Matt began tutoring my son during the lockdown, when he was in Year 8. I noticed that my son was struggling to learn - not just in Science, but across many subjects. He was losing learning skills, avoiding reading and struggling to talk through his work. I asked Matt to begin tutoring him so that he had some teacher contact time each week. Due to the pandemic this began remotely, but Matt was still able to identify the areas of difficulty my son was having and provide appropriate teaching and tasks to challenge him and get him thinking. Matt identified that he had difficulties learning key vocabulary and with writing longer answers. I feel that the tutoring sessions do more than teach my son Science, they teach him how to be an effective learner. I feel confident that with Matt's support, despite the turbulence of the pandemic, he will achieve his potential.
